Educator Chipotle Challenge by Kala Ebbe

Hey there! Thanks for dropping by the Educator Chipotle Challenge (ECC) website. I’m Kala Ebbe, a Minnesotan School Counselor for grades 7-9 in Davis, California. 

 

In 2015, my good friend challenged me to eat Chipotle once a day, every day for one year. I accepted this challenge and created the ECC to give back to educators and support students. I began eating Chipotle once a day for one year on August 29, 2018 (the first day of school), and will complete the ECC on August 28, 2019 (the first day of school).

 

The ECC's purpose is:​

• to highlight stories of how educators have positively impacted peoples' lives through video recorded Educator Shout Out Interviews, which are posted on the ECC's YouTube Channel.

• to inspire people who support educators, education, and young people, to donate money to an educational cause. My goal is to raise $100,000! Half of the money raised will be used to purchase supplies and materials for educators of grades 7-12 at Da Vinci Charter Academy, and half of the money raised will be donated to Davis Joint Unified School District to improve access to school-based mental health services for students in Davis K-12 public schools. To chip in for education, click the "donate" button above, which will direct you to the ECC's Fundraiser on GoFundMe. Donations will be accepted until 11:59PM on August 28, 2019.
