ECC Day 353: “Power of the People”
It’s incredible to witness & experience firsthand what people can do when they come together for a cause, to inspire & effect positive change. People have rallied around me since day 1 of the ECC, to support educators, students & me kicking guac at eating @chipotle once a day for one year. People have shown up to gatherings; people have donated to the ECC Fundraiser @gofundme ; people have been very encouraging.
Bobbi (@bobbi66v ) saw a need to help educators lower their out-of-pocket purchases of school supplies for their students, so she created the Teachers’ Closet! With our great team & supporters, we kicked off a successful Donation Drive @sudwerkbrew with Buckhorn & @sawyerssweetspot tonight! We’re just getting started! www.teacherscloset.org
Jake ( @ja.starnes ), owner of @vaultboardshop in @davis.downtown rallied Davis skaters to shred! He raffled awesome prizes, and ya girl even won! I skated with a student; that was rad! A petition has begun to update the skate park at Community Park; you bet I signed it! It’s a no-brainer!
