ECC Day 299: “Eduskater”
“Educate (verb): to provide schooling or training for; to develop, train, or inform.”
“Educator (noun): a person or thing that educates, especially a teacher, principal, or other person involved in planning or directing education.” @dictionarycom
Each of us an be an educator in our own way; it’s not limited to the four walls of a school building and having the role name, “teacher.” Jake trains, teaches, and informs people, of all ages, about techniques of skateboarding/snowboarding, how to build your ride @vaultboardshop , and life skills like supporting your neighbors, effective communication, resiliency - getting up and trying again and again when you fall. As a School Counselor, I’m training, teaching, informing youth how to be kind, culturally aware, creative and resourceful humans who advocate for themselves and others. We’re both educators in our own way. Keep it up, Jake; you’re making an impact! @ja.starnes
